Health Director Needed
Camp Shomria is looking for a health director for the summer of 2014
We are located in Liberty NY. (2.5 hours from NYC)
This is an onsite position in a summer camp from July 5 - Aug 17/2014. perfect for school nurses who are looking for a summer job!

Health Director Responsibilities
• Dispense meds
• First aid for minor injuries
• Ensure health and safety of campers and staff
• Daily sick call
• Weekly health checks
• Communicating specific camper health needs (allergies, special diets) to staff
• Medical record keeping
• Liaising with local doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies
• Communicate with parents

Qualifications and Requirements
• NY RN or LPN degree or Certified EMT
• Must be available for at least 4 weeks, 6-week availability highly preferred
• Flexible-- able to adapt to different environments and schedules
• Confidence in nursing skills
• Responsible, hard-working
• Good bedside manner, friendly and personable
• Prior experience with children (does not have to be in a medical capacity) prefered
• Enjoy an active lifestyle
• Team player
• New nursing graduates and nurses with families are welcome

Compensation
• Competitive salaries, vary according to experience $600-700 per week
• Room and board
• Full camp scholarships for your children

Living Accommodations
• Accommodations attached to Health Center
• Private room
• Shared bathroom (share only with Health Center occupants)
• Meals provided in camp dining hall

Work Schedule
3 slots for "office hours" roughly 1 hour each
On call 24/7 (we can arrange for replacements for days off with prior notice)

Paid Orientation weekend May 31 - June 2 (highly preferred but not required)
